IMPLEMENTED PROGRAMS

Art- “Humble and Creative”

Humble and Creative program will allow the youth to tap in to their creative skill sets as well as learn ways to expand them by working one on one with entrepreneur creatives who will teach how to properly monetize their gifts. This program will also teach how to gain a healthy outlet to channel. This program will have classes as well as one on one assistance catering to the youth with an art interest.

Music- “Change the Tune”

Change the Tune program will allow youth to learn the industry of music and work hands on with indie artist as well as any producers/ engineers in the area to learn the basics of starting. To help the youth figure out their lane within the music industry. This program will hold classes as needed catering to the youth with a music interest.

Sports- “Athletic and Humble”

Athletic and Humble program will allow youth to gain further skills in their respected extracurricular area. This program will provide hands on trainings and support youth in need financially from the community to be able to participate in a program he or she is participating in.

Technology-” HC Tech”

HC Tech program will allow youth to gain resources about the tech field as well as receive training to help excel their already gained skill set or enhance their knowledge. There will be classes held to support the youth and align them with a future in tech, as well as learn proper technology skills.

Finance- “ Change Your Pockets”

Change your Pockets program will partner with banks, credit unions and financial advisors to give the youth knowledge on financial literacy. It is in hopes that this program brings awareness to becoming fiscally responsible.

Mental Health-  “Healthy Change”

Healthy Change program was created to be able to get youth and family with proper resources to get the help they may need. This program will have sessions for mental health professionals to come in communities and provide training, and hold awareness forums. This program will also partner with professionals to teach centering and de-escalation techniques. It is with this program that we hope to bring awareness to mental health, give access to resources that can strategically assist needs and to also show the steps to take when someone around you needs help.

Culinary- “Change of Taste Buds”

Change of Taste Buds program will allow the youth to gain culinary knowledge and skills catered to their specific interest in the field. To encourage the youth to explore different cuisines and opportunities to grow in the culinary field. It is built to show the youth there are many opportunities and lanes out there for your interest.

Education- “Supporting a Student for Advancement”

Supporting a Student for Advancement program is to implement success for students in all areas. This program will support up to 5 students to be tutored who may not be able to afford the assistance. This program has a mentor program consisting of youth ambassadors who spend weekly time with students who are in need of a mentor to help continue to mold them for better future success. This program will also allow youth the opportunity for internship, job and entrepreneurship preparedness. This program will also allow the opportunity to youth and adults to gain access to GED, ACT and SAT tutoring/classes for preparation for testing.

This program also involves our Youth Ambassadors, they work hands on with students who need constant support. The Youth Ambassadors mentor students with our 12 principles and help them apply the knowledge gained for everyday use.

Some of the Job Workshops include: learning avenues of online organizing.

Under our ‘‘VOTE HUMBLE INTIATIVE’’ we teach andskill set training for non partisan voter education, how to properly work a phone bank; organizing training; and outreach increase, data programs; entreprenuership preparedness.

The goal is to prepare each student for an opportunity to thrive in their own way and own lane of interest.

    The Humble Change, Inc. begins a 3 week open nomination for Marion County and Hinds Count School. This giveaway included Teachers and Students. We greatly appreciate all who participated.

  • Sock Drive Collaboration with WeCareJXN [October 16 2023- December 23 2023

    By collaborating with WeCareJxn, we aim to address the root causes of homelessness and create a positive impact on the lives of those affected.

    Sock Drive begin October 16 and will end December 23.

    Donation of over 200 socks were Donated to Gateway Rescue Mission January 3, 2024

  • Sunshine Scholar

    WeCareJxn and The Humble Change, Inc. have put together a Summer Program for the youth in our communities. Sunshine Scholars Program will provide Reading Comprehension assistance, Math Skill assistance and Learn skill sets.

    Help us feed and educate at least 45 children this summer, our program aims to provide lunch and a snack 5 days a week to children in Jackson who are in need.

    It will cost us around $8 per day or $562 for the entire summer per child to provide a nutritious lunch and snack to take home. While providing as needed services for reading, math, and social skills day workshops. Consider sponsoring a child for the summer, week, or day!!

  • Series 1: Let's Talk and Make Change

    Objective: The primary goal of "Let’s Talk and Make Change" is to understand where young teens are in life and provide the mental support needed to help them succeed in the future. By focusing on mental health and creating a strong support team, participants will be equipped with the tools and strategies to navigate life's challenges and achieve their aspirations.
